The Ira
Scholarship

Ira means wisdom. And wisdom, unlike wealth, grows when you give it away.

Mumbai, India · Inaugural year

Narendra bhaiya starts his day with collecting waste from homes in Mount Mary, and does a few other odd jobs like dogwalking. He works in the harshest of environments but always carries the most infectious smile. He is a father to two daughters — Vinisha and Devanshi.

Two girls. Two futures. One question that stayed with us: what would it mean to simply make sure they get to finish school?

Today, on Ira's birthday, we are launching a scholarship in her name — because she has always believed that the most meaningful thing one person can do for another is open a door.

The Ira Scholarship begins here, with these two daughters, in the city where all of this started.

First Scholarship.
Two Scholars.

For Ira, with love
